So you popped the question and she said yes! Congratulations on taking the next big step in your relationship and in your life! But now you might be wondering… what’s next? We can set you up with everything from the perfect Las Vegas wedding venue down to the right tuxedo and wedding bouquet and some quality wedding tips for the groom while we’re at it.
Have an Opinion
It seems silly to have to say, but your fiance will notice that those “I don’t care” and “whatever you want” comments add up.
If you really want to make your fiance’s life easy in the lead up to your wedding, have an opinion. About anything and everything. Maybe flowers aren’t your thing (that’s okay, we can help you choose the perfect wedding bouquet), but the moment that your fiance asks you which flowers you prefer or which table spread you like more — have an opinion. There is nothing more frustrating than an “idk” mentality. Having an opinion about your wedding will show your fiance that you are interested and engaged in the planning and she will feel a lot more relaxed knowing that she is not doing all of the planning.
Give Her a Break and Pull Your Weight
This goes hand-in-hand with having opinions about things, but the chances are that your fiance is going to spend a lot of time and energy on planning the perfect wedding. That means that you need to pull your fair share of the weight when it comes to planning. Consider which areas you can help out the most.
Some easy ways to do this are to:
- Manage your half of the guest list – reach out to your friends and family and be the buffer between your fiance and your mother.
- Organize your groomsmen – make sure that they know what their roles are what the formal attire will be the day of.
- Help set up the wedding registry – help her pick out the items in the wedding registry that you like. It’s your day too after all.
Finally, always remember to be there emotionally. As beautiful as weddings are, they take a lot of time and energy to plan. By the end of it, on the big day, you will be ready to indulge in the celebration. This is a perfect opportunity to tap into your romantic side and order her some flowers and leave her a cute note to read while she gets ready for the ceremony.
