Create an official hashtag for your event for guests to use in their social media posts, especially on Instagram. That way, you and anyone else can search this specific hashtag and see the compilation of posts/images that guests or any professional photographers have tagged your event in. Be sure to let your guests know about your hashtag when they arrive!
It’s obvious that not everyone can attend an event. Going live on Instagram, Facebook, or other social media platforms can give everyone and anyone the leisure to watch the event from their phones. Going live also allows everyone to engage by commenting through the live feed for everyone to see.
Depending on the kind of event you’re hosting, using incentives to motivate guests to follow or like is a great way to boost your audience and engagement. For example, if you have a booth at an expo, you can offer people a free t-shirt or water bottle just for following your brand’s account. Or, if you’re hosting a celebration type event, you can work with your vendors to give away fun prizes. For example, those who follow or like your wedding florist’s Instagram page can win free flower catering for their next event. Get creative!
